MEANING

The term MANDALA is of Hindu origin. It appears in the Rig Veda as the name of the sections of the work. MANDALA has become a generic term for any plan, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe. In various spiritual traditions, MANDALAS may be employed for focusing attention of aspirants and adepts, as a spiritual teaching tool, for establishing a sacred space, mind body coherence and as an aid to meditation and trance induction.

KAMALA’S MANDALA YOGA:

PHASE 1

Here a symmetric yoga is taught for 21 and 48 days each. It focuses on clearing the negative energies stored in an individual. It can be a physical pain, pent up emotion haunting an individual mentally or any emotional disturbance. After this a health check up is done to visibly see the health status and accordingly nutritional supplements suggested and also given.

PHASE 2

Yoga is done by taking a SANKALPA, on the auspicious FULL MOON DAY / POORNIMA. Its need, impact and procedure are explained by the instructor on the day of taking Sankalpa. Chakra activating asanas are taught to trigger KUNDALINI /SERPENT POWER. Gayatri mantra is taught with explanations of its scientific impact on human beings. The power of Sankalpa is your power to do things which will make you outperform your own capabilities. With a proper initiation the next phases will have a smoother flow and helps in faster integration of mind - body chemistry. It also helps in triggering more balanced hormonal secretions.

PHASE 3

MEDITATION: Simple meditation is initiated to calm the nervous system.

PRANAYAMA:  Prana is Breath and Ayama is extension. Various types of pranayama like balancing pranayama, sensitizing pranayama, transcending pranayama, cooling pranayama and many more is sequentially taught.

MUDRA:

The meaning of ‘mudra’, which is a Sanskrit word, is ‘closure’ or ‘seal’. Mudra hand positions are physical gestures that have an effect on the energy flow of the body. The ancient practice of yoga links the hand mudras to the changing spiritual and mental aspects of a person.

PHASE 4

CHAKRA MEDITATION:

Within every human being there is a subtle body of three energy channels (nadis) and seven energy centers. The 7 major chakras within the subtle body are Mooladhara, Swdisthana, Nabhi (Manipura), Hearth (Anahatha),Vishuddhi, Agnya, Sahasrara. The 3 energy Channels are Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. Each chakra, storehouse of energy, has different qualities and by healing or balancing these chakras, we awaken and enhance their qualities within us, making us more balanced and integrated. Our enlightened chakras give us joy and peace.

PHASE 5

THERAPEUTIC YOGA Review

Physical ailments: are solved through Yoga asana and Kriyas (cleansing techniques like Kapalabhati, Neti, Dhouti, Liver cleansing, Bhasti etc….).

Mental illness: Pranayama is used as a tool to enhance overall fitness of body and improvement in mental sphere.

Emotional Stability:  By this phase, the practitioner and the instructor will have developed the rapport to feel comfortable and open up the pent up emotion. Hence even emotional disturbances are resolved through Deep states of Meditation and some mental and emotional exercises and tests are used to confirm the same.

Psychometric tests are used to analyze an individual’s frame of mind. Emotional Quotient is checked through Premier methods of analysis. Chakra tests are done to review the impact of yoga on Mind, Body and Spirit
