I began practicing yoga in 1998 when I was still a student. I appeared for a Personal Excellence Program through Yoga. I secured HIGH DISTINCTION in TARUNA PAHELIKA-2001 and successfully completed the Residential Vyaktitva Vikas Shibir from Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. I walked into my first yoga class with no skepticism whatsoever and walked out with a new-found sense of peace.

After I returned from Kanyakumari, I participated in various District, State and National level Yoga competitions. When I pursued yoga and it was more for competition and it had no therapeutic or spiritual significance. With time I discovered the various benefits of therapeutic yoga and started teaching the same. It was highly satisfying a job for me. I completed MBA in International business and worked as an Equity Advisor for two and a half years. Even when I was an equity Advisor, yoga was always in my mind and I continued teaching. I had pursued studies in the field of Yoga and I had completed Dip. in Yoga and B Nat. Soon I decided to quit my job as I had unparalleled passion for yoga.

Slowly I began taking yoga classes in schools for kids of various age-groups and saw miraculous results. I associated myself with a lot of Yoga and Naturopathy Organizations and actively participated in most of the seminars and workshops in the same field. I was one among the organizers for the International Conference on Yoga and Naturopathy 2012 by AYUSH in Bangalore, India.

My passion and conviction in Yoga is my inspiration to start SATYA YOGA. I strongly believe that it is the journey that matters more than the destination. Passion and perseverance makes everybody feel the free and flawless flow of energy and enthusiasm in the class from start to end. I only invite small groups ranging from 5-20.

I believe that yoga practice should be about the journey of learning; perfection is neither the requirement nor the goal. With every class, my intention is to create a friendly, safe and positive environment for your practice. Classes are flowing, sometimes playful and challenging, but always accommodating and considerate.
